Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the HACCP method and food hygiene rules.
- Know the rules for food storage and stock management.
- Respect preparation deadlines for dishes.
- Be able to use a management computer tool.
- Good team spirit and ability to lead a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.
Apply on the Val-d'Oise Department website, sending your CV and cover letter. The offer asks you to apply directly on their site.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, on the grades of technical assistant for teaching establishments.
- Position vacant from 1 November 2026.
- The second can replace the head chef when they are absent.
