Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in school or staff catering is preferred
The profile they look for:
- Know food hygiene rules and the HACCP method
- Master cooking practices for school catering
- Know how to manage food stock
- Be able to lead and manage a team
- Have computer skills (management tools, orders, inventories)
- Know how a secondary school works
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
