Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in cooking
Experience: Experienced; group catering preferred

- CAP or BEP in cooking
- Group catering experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Good organisation, rigour and punctuality
- Ability to work in a team
- Sense of public service
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 12 (Closes in 11 days)
Apply on the employer's website or send your file by email to the town hall. Interviews start on 26 October 2026, so apply early.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Physical strain: noise, handling, carrying loads, repetitive movements
