Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A contract agent may be hired if no civil servant application succeeds.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Heavy goods vehicle licence and FIMO required.
- Knowledge of collection procedures and routes.
- Knowledge of safety rules and risks.
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques.
- Knowledge of waste and packaging types.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.
Apply on the employer's website. You need to send a CV and a cover letter.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Heavy goods vehicle licence and FIMO required.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
- The job may include on-call duty to keep the service running.
