Civil servants in the territorial civil service at the grades of Ingénieur, Ingénieur principal, Technicien or Technicien principal can apply. A contract worker can also be hired if no civil servant application succeeds.
Category: Category A (executive)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of road techniques and road infrastructure
- Knowledge of maintenance and upgrading methods for roads
- Ability to run works operations and monitor site progress
- Knowledge of public procurement rules for works
- Ability to draw up technical programmes and cost estimates
- Ability to organise and manage a technical team
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time: 39 hours per week.
- Leave: 25 days of annual leave and 23 days of RTT (reduced working time).
- Meal vouchers: 9 € per working day, with 5 € paid by the employer.
