Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the category C grade allows direct recruitment.

- Master first-level maintenance work in several trades
- Know hygiene and safety rules and make sure they are followed
- Be able to organise and lead a team
- Be able to write technical sheets, schedules and reports
- Be organised, rigorous and independent
- Be able to handle conflicts and stressful situations
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
