Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired when no civil servant application has succeeded.

Diploma: DUT, bachelor's or master's degree in book professions (métiers du livre)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of the institutional framework of local authorities.
- Knowledge of public accounting and public finance rules.
- Understanding of the public reading network and its partners.
- Ability to manage a team and calm conflicts.
- Sense of public service and of welcoming the public.
- Skill with the Decalog SIGB library management software.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- May be assigned to the different libraries in the network.
- May work outside the libraries for events.
- Occasional evening work, and exceptionally on Sundays.
- Employer covers 75% of the public transport pass.
