Territorial civil servants can apply, for the grade of ingénieur principal. Contract workers can also apply if no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: Bac+5 in construction, housing or regional planning
Experience: At least 5 years running public housing policies
The profile they look for:
- Bac+5 in housing, construction or regional planning
- At least 5 years in public housing policy
- Good knowledge of planning and construction law
- Knowledge of housing finance and energy renovation
- Good listening, teaching and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team with different services
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
