Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired when no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: Higher education in urban planning, public law, or land planning, or equivalent experience.
The profile they look for:
- Higher education in urban planning, public law or land planning.
- Good knowledge of local authority law and planning rules.
- Knowledge of public contracts.
- Good command of GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
- Independence, initiative and ability to adapt.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
