Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because some of the grades offered are entry-level category C grades.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: CAP/BEP in horticulture, ideally
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of horticultural, landscape and differentiated management techniques.
- Ability to plan and coordinate works and green space projects.
- Skills in leading, managing and motivating a team.
- Ability to assess plant spaces while taking safety into account.
- Autonomy, initiative, good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Mainly outdoor work, with some office work.
- Work on weekends and public holidays possible, on-call duty possible.
- Annual bonus of 1600 € and other benefits, subject to conditions.
