Permanent civil servants and contract workers can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because one of the grades offered is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Experience: Confirmed experience.
The profile they look for:
- Team management skills and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of construction, water systems, civil engineering, roads and green spaces.
- Reading plans and technical documents.
- Applying workplace safety rules.
- Rigour, quick reactions and good listening skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 9 (Closes in 11 days)
Apply on the employer's website or through the official offer page on Choisir le Service Public. Applications are sent to the mayor of the commune, by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Management role, category B.
- Remote work not possible.
- Required certifications: CACES, electrical authorisation, workplace first aid.
