The profile they look for:
- Training or experience in building, public works or technical management
- Experience in local government
- Experience managing a team is wanted
- Knowledge of public buildings (ERP), accessibility and safety rules
- Ability to follow a budget and write quotes and purchase orders
- Driving licence (permis B) required
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 36 hours per week
- Saturday work possible, on-call duty possible (bad weather, emergencies)
- Indoor and outdoor work, with physical effort and use of machinery
