Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open to an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed experience, ideally in a local authority.
The profile they look for:
- Significant similar experience, ideally in a local authority.
- Knowledge of safety rules and dry networks.
- Good writing and people skills, with a sense of rigour.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of public procurement rules.
- Driving licence category B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 1 (Closes in 30 days)
Apply on the employer's site linked from the official offer. You can also send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall's human resources department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C, technical assistant or technician grades.
- Remote work not possible.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
