The profile they look for:
- Know the local government environment
- Master local public finance, financial analysis and budget management
- Master accounting classifications and public procurement rules
- Know the rules on accounting agencies (régies comptables)
- Master financial software and tracking tools
- Be able to manage a team
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
