Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Preferred: CAP Petite Enfance, BAFA or CQP Périscolaire.
Experience: Confirmed experience, with team management.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of how local authorities work.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
- Knowledge of child development and teaching methods.
- Ability to handle conflicts and lead a team.
- Sense of responsibility, rigour and organisation.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Part-time: 5 hours per week out of 35.
- Job starts on 1 January 2027.
- Benefits: CNAS, provident insurance and supplementary health insurance.
- Remote work is not possible.
