1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants and contract agents. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, HACCP and cleaning products.
- Good basic reading, writing and maths skills.
- Sense of organisation, teamwork and listening.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Good physical fitness, for carrying heavy loads.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by post or email, as the official offer explains.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
