1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BAVD, BPJEPS, CQP after-school leader or CAP early childhood, as listed in the offer.
Experience: Confirmed experience.
The profile they look for:
- Ability to lead and bring together teams.
- Knowledge of the local government environment.
- Rules knowledge for group catering, food hygiene and after-school care.
- Good organisation and priority setting.
- Good people skills, especially with children.
- Independence, rigour and ability to report on work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 12 (Closes in 11 days)
Apply on the employer's website, using the button on the offer. You can also drop your file at the town hall reception or send it by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- May need to work outside normal hours, for example at school council meetings.
- Work places: Garat school and the town hall.
- Post vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Health and provident contribution where applicable, and access to CNAS.
