Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BAC, BTS or DUT in civil engineering or building, or BEP or CAP in the field.
The profile they look for:
- Degree in civil engineering or building (BAC, BTS, DUT, BEP or CAP).
- Technical knowledge of all building trades.
- Basic knowledge of public procurement and ERP safety rules.
- Ability to lead, motivate and assess a team.
- Ability to read plans and plan work.
- Driving licence (category B).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
