Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP/BEP in collective catering or food trades, or catering experience
Experience: Catering experience can replace the diploma
The profile they look for:
- Hold at least a CAP/BEP in collective catering or food trades, or catering experience.
- Apply food hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
- Know the nutritional needs of children.
- Pass on instructions, check activity and report back.
- Show rigour, adaptability and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time Monday to Friday, with one non-worked Wednesday per month.
- 25 days of annual leave, taken during school holidays.
- Public transport or Vélo'v covered at 75%.
- Meal voucher card up to 153 € per month, 60% paid by the city.
