Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the post is open at an entry grade of category C.

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- 35 hours over 4 days in summer, over 5 days in winter.
- Occasional availability outside usual hours, in emergencies or bad weather.
- Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory.
