Civil servants can apply for the grades of ingénieur or ingénieur principal. A contract worker can be hired when no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category A (executive)
Diploma: Bac+4 or bac+5
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of the local government and Education nationale environment
- Knowledge of ERP safety rules and building maintenance methods
- Good command of public budget rules and public procurement
- Skills in project management methods
- Organised, rigorous, and able to handle urgent matters
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
