Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Master cooking techniques and food service.
- Apply hygiene and safety rules.
- Be able to lead and organise a team.
- Be able to manage stock.
- Show rigour, method and adaptability.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B preferred.
- Weekend duty and irregular hours.
- Travel outside the region, about 180 days a year.
- Temporary absence daily allowance only for civil servants.
