Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Show involvement in various event projects running at the same time.
- Have already managed stock, or shown that ability.
- Use computer tools well, including the Office suite.
- Know how to set up and take down stage structures.
- Be rigorous, organised, independent and punctual.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer’s website given in the official offer. You can also send your CV and cover letter by post or by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence (permis B) is essential.
- Driving a van is required.
- Electrical safety certificate and CACES R489 are a plus, not required.
- Remote work is not possible.
