Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service competitive exam can be hired, as the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.

The profile they look for:
- CAP/BEP minimum in catering, maintenance or technical trades.
- HACCP training and cleaning techniques training.
- Ability to lead, organise and coordinate a team.
- Knowledge of workplace hygiene and safety rules.
- Public service mindset, rigour and autonomy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Part-time post of 30 hours per week, annualised.
- Mostly indoor work, with travel between the town's buildings.
- Hours adapted to school catering, with occasional work outside usual hours.
- Remote work not possible.
