- Work in shifts with short deadlines
- Keep to set brigade working hours
- Take part in on-call duty on weekends and public holidays
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.
Apply on the employer's website, through the offer page on Choisir le Service Public. A mobility form is also available on the Interior Ministry website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Expected time in the post: 3 years.
- Remote work not possible.
- Fixed brigade hours and on-call duty on weekends and public holidays.
- You must contact the named contacts before an interview, or your application will not be ranked.
