- Good knowledge of the Mayor's police powers and criminal procedure.
- Good people skills for mediation and handling conflicts.
- Discretion, duty of confidentiality and self-control.
- Very good team spirit.
- Good writing skills to report and record offences.
- Driving licence B and very good physical fitness.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall, addressed to the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours from 14:30 to midnight, with possible until 2:00 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
- Weapons in categories B and D provided.
