Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the post is at an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Certificate or diploma at level V (CAP or equivalent)
Experience: Experienced candidate
The profile they look for:
- Know and follow health and safety rules at work
- Master basic skills in several building trades
- Read plans, diagrams and technical manuals
- Diagnose a fault and suggest a suitable fix
- Work independently and plan your own jobs
- Hold a driving licence B (essential)
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 18 days)
Send your CV and cover letter by email to the council's staff department. You can also apply on the employer's website linked from the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible and no management duties
- Heavy goods licence (PL) wanted
