Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired directly at this entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Technical training in building maintenance (CAP, vocational Bac, BP or equivalent)
Experience: Experienced candidate required.
The profile they look for:
- Electrical skills strongly preferred (electrical certification).
- Good knowledge of masonry, painting, tiling and general maintenance.
- Able to diagnose a simple fault and fix it.
- Public service mindset, independence, quick reactions and teamwork.
- Technical building training wanted (CAP, vocational Bac, BP or equivalent).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Weekend work possible.
- Frequent lifting and mandatory protective equipment.
- Travel across the whole town area.
- Electrical training planned if needed to obtain certification.
