Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.

Diploma: Diploma at level V, such as a CAP (vocational certificate)
Experience: Experienced
The profile they look for:
- Diploma or certificate at level V, such as a CAP.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Good knowledge of woodwork.
- Knowledge of safety rules and health standards.
- Ability to read plans, diagrams and technical manuals.
- Works independently, takes initiative and organises well.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your application by post or by email to the town hall's human resources team.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Post vacant from 9 November 2026.
- Category C post, no management role.
