Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP in a building trade
The profile they look for:
- Holds a CAP in a building trade, or knows general building upkeep well.
- Can read and follow safety instructions.
- Strictly follows hygiene and safety rules.
- Can work alone and in a team.
- Stays calm with the public and reports clearly.
- Holds a category B driving licence; can use a work email system.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Weekly on-call duty, with a maximum response time of 30 minutes.
- Can be placed on several sites and sent to other schools when needed.
- Annual leave can only be taken during school holidays.
- Work clothes and personal protective equipment must be worn.
