Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP, BEP or vocational bac in building carpentry
Experience: Experience in a similar job would be strongly appreciated.
The profile they look for:
- Hold a CAP, BEP or vocational bac in building carpentry
- Must have a category B driving licence, ideally C or EC
- Be able to read and understand a plan
- Know and apply safety rules
- Work on your own and report to your manager
- Work well in a team with other building professionals
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work indoors or outdoors, in all weather, alone or in a team
- A category B driving licence is required for this job
- Regular travel across the metropolitan area and occasional trips outside it
