Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. Hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because one of the grades open is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: Training in book and/or library work
Experience: Experience in a local government library wanted, ideally in a games library or outreach work
The profile they look for:
- Training in book or library work.
- Experience in a local government library is wanted, ideally in a games library.
- Knowledge of public reading and local cultural action.
- Skills in library software (SIGB) and office tools.
- A welcoming, public service attitude and ease running groups.
- Independence, adaptability and versatility.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
