Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Ideally, ABF diploma (Association des Bibliothécaires de France)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of publishing and cultural goods.
- Good skills in documentary research methods and digital tools.
- Strong writing skills.
- Sense of public service and knowledge of civil servants' rights and duties.
- Independent, versatile, responsive and able to work in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A driving licence (permis B) is required.
- Remote work is not planned.
- Category C post open to the adjoint du patrimoine grades.
