Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP in vehicle maintenance or equivalent
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- CAP in vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
- Category B driving licence required.
- Very good knowledge of mechanics, electrics, electronics and hydraulics.
- Good skills with tools and equipment.
- Knows and applies workplace safety rules.
- Independence, organisation, responsiveness and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Post to be filled as soon as possible.
- Full time: 39 hours per week, with 23 days of RTT (time off in lieu) per year.
- Hours: 8am-12pm and 1:30pm-5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Category B driving licence required.
