Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.

The profile they look for:
- Good skills in general mechanics, hydraulics, electrics, air conditioning and welding
- Ability to detect, analyse and diagnose faults
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams
- Follows health and safety rules at work
- Organised, rigorous, independent and a good team player
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category B driving licence required, category C and E(C) licences mandatory
- Forklift driving safety and air conditioning certifications required
- 39 hours per week, 25 days of annual leave and 23 RTT days per year
