Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, at the adjoint technique grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP in mechanics or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- CAP in mechanics or equivalent.
- Category B and category C driving licences required.
- CACES for construction machines welcome.
- Rigour, organisation and a sense of responsibility.
- High availability and quick reaction in emergencies.
- Professional discretion and duty of confidentiality.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your cover letter and CV by email to the town hall, at the address given in the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job, 37 hours 30 minutes per week.
- On-call duty possible, especially in winter or during floods.
- Availability for town events, including weekends.
- Remote work not possible.
