Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment. Grades: adjoint technique and adjoint technique principal.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP at least
Experience: Previous experience welcome
The profile they look for:
- Basic knowledge of car mechanics and car electrics.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
- Ability to diagnose faults and adapt to new technologies.
- Category B driving licence essential, category C wanted.
- Able to work in a team and organise oneself.
- Rigour, punctuality and good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
