Civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.

Diploma: CAP, BEP or bac in motor vehicle maintenance

- Driving licence B required; licences C, EB and forklift also mentioned
- Knowledge of automotive electrics appreciated

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time, 39 hours per week with RTT days off.
- On-call mechanic duty in evenings, weekends and public holidays, one week per month.
- On-call vehicle and mobile phone provided.
- Travel between centres with the workshop vehicle.
