Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, as the entry grade is category C.

Diploma: Mechanic diploma required at minimum
Experience: Experienced: similar experience of 5 to 15 years
The profile they look for:
- Mechanic diploma required at minimum, plus 5 to 15 years of similar experience.
- Technical skills in light vehicles, heavy trucks, electrics and sheet metalwork.
- Able to read technical sheets and plans, and follow safety rules.
- Team spirit, responsiveness, rigour and ability to set task priorities.
- Driving licence desired.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Remote work not possible.
- Up to 49 days of leave and RTT combined.
