Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP in mechanics
Experience: Experience in a similar job is wanted.
The profile they look for:
- CAP in mechanics (light vehicles, vans, heavy trucks, electric vehicles).
- Driving licence B and C, CACES; PL licence wanted.
- Ability to diagnose faults.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems: brakes, suspension, fuel injection.
- Can read mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Good computer skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the Human Resources department of the City of Millau, by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
