Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C. People recognised as disabled workers can also apply through a contract.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Technical knowledge of agricultural machinery
- Able to learn theory and hands-on skills
- Good manual skills and able to drive vehicles
- Rigorous, good team player
- Available and quick to react
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, linked from the official offer. You can also send your file by post or by email to the department's human resources service.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required at minimum, licence C preferred
- Occasional on-call duty for exceptional events
- Remote work not possible
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027
