Civil servants and contract workers can apply. The grades concerned are Educateur des APS, Educateur principal des APS 2nd class and 1st class.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: BPJEPS AAN - BEESAN - MNS - PSE 1 continuing training
The profile they look for:
- Know and apply the rules for water activities
- Know how to teach swimming step by step
- Track learning progress over several sessions
- Know basic first aid gestures
- Be able to take responsibility for groups of minors
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Evening and weekend work, present for at least half of school holidays
- Schedule of 1607 hours per year with a rotating timetable
- Category B, about 8 weeks of leave and RTT per year
- Private lessons possible outside working hours, as a self-employed worker
