Civil servants can apply for the Educateur des APS grade. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant application has succeeded.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: BEESAN, BPJEPS or professional licence in aquatic activities, or BNSSA as a fallback
The profile they look for:
- BEESAN, BPJEPS or professional licence in aquatic activities, or BNSSA as a fallback
- Up to date with mandatory refreshers (first aid, DSA, CAEPMNS)
- Know the rules for swimming, pools, hygiene and safety
- Able to handle emergencies calmly
- Works well in a team and shows good judgement
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
