Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. The job is open to the grades of Educateur des APS and Educateur principal des APS.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
Diploma: Lifeguard instructor diploma: MNS, BEESAN or BPJEPS AAN
The profile they look for:
- Required lifeguard instructor diploma (MNS, BEESAN or BPJEPS AAN)
- Knowledge of pool hygiene and safety rules
- PSE1 first aid certificate, renewed every year
- Good team player
- Available and rigorous
- Good people skills and teaching ability
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 4 (Closes in 3 days)
Send your cover letter and CV by email to the city's human resources team, or by post to the Mayor. The offer is also published on the official Choisir le Service Public website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays
- Possibility to teach private swimming lessons outside working hours, with a 50 euro yearly fee
