Open to civil servants (adjoints techniques) and to contract agents. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, as this is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Diploma or experience in masonry, roads or networks.
- Skills in public-space work: kerbs, paving, asphalt, GNT.
- Strict respect of health and safety rules.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Able to work outdoors and carry loads.
- Good manners with road users, shopkeepers and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Outdoor work, carrying loads and wearing protective equipment.
- Hours: 38 hours per week, with winter road duty on call.
- Vibrating machines: CACES or suitable training, sometimes done in-house.
