Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the entry grade is category C.

Diploma: CAP, BEP or vocational bac in green spaces, landscape or floriculture (desired)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of horticulture and plant identification.
- Skill in planting, maintaining and developing green spaces.
- Knowledge of ecological methods for managing green spaces.
- Ability to use and maintain gardening equipment.
- Public service mindset, rigour and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a team and work on your own.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 36 h 45 per week, mostly outdoors.
- Occasional work on weekends and public holidays.
- Driving licence B required or desired depending on service needs.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
