Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of plants, species and green space maintenance techniques.
- Ability to use plant treatment products and alternative methods.
- Knowledge of workplace safety rules and temporary road signs for work sites.
- Ability to work in a team and deal with the public.
- A sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website or send your application by email to the human resources department of the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
