Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Follow instructions and guidance from your managers
- Work independently on tasks and instructions
- Be dynamic, efficient and careful in your work
- Have a sense of public service and setting an example
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have an eye for aesthetics
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 2 (Closes in 3 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email or by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C, adjoint technique grades.
- Job vacant from 2 November 2026.
- Contract worker: one year at most, renewable up to 2 years in total.
