Civil servants (by transfer or secondment) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP landscaping, or experience in green spaces preferred
Experience: Experienced in green spaces preferred
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of plants and their characteristics.
- Independent, punctual, organised and careful.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and works quickly.
- Driving licence category B required; E and C preferred.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 27 (Closes in 28 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email or by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Outdoor work in all weather; called in if there is a storm or flood.
- Working hours are different in July and August.
- Benefits: 13th month pay, 25 days of paid leave, RTT days, health and provident insurance contributions.
- Remote work not possible.
