Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Basic knowledge of botany and horticulture.
- Knows health and safety rules, including wearing protective equipment.
- Can use towed and self-propelled machines.
- Can spot common plant diseases and harmful insects.
- Shows initiative, autonomy, rigour and careful work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 11 (Closes in 13 days)
Apply on the employer’s website, or send your cover letter and CV to the town hall’s human resources department, quoting reference DST/EV.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A valid category B driving licence is required.
- A heavy goods vehicle licence is an advantage.
